ACKNOWLEDGEMENT 

I acknowledge that
life flows
that I cannot forever row
against the universe’s current.

All the energies wasted
keeping still
in the middle of a tornado
when I could just decide to draw.

I draw a path
that leads to myself
I draw a face
that resembles my weight.

I am light as a ray
crossing a wall of glass
creating a butterfly of colours.

I acknowledge that I don’t know
I respect the way things are
I respect the way things went.
