A SILENT SONG
I can sing a song
that is silent
I can say things
I don’t mean.
We try to be nice
in a world
we can’t hold.
We try to be real
in a place
where everyone is a stranger.
We have to realise
we have to acknowledge
the reality of our truths
which are diluted by our fears.
We can’t see these truths
they are fuzzy and blurry
they can’t be everything there is.
I can say things
in the moment
they are fake after a while.
Where is the continuity
we claim,
we think,
we are?
The personal identity
Humean shades of blue
I don’t know
I never knew.
