PARADIGMS UNKNOWN
As the day ends
I crave a sense of belonging
to a place I don’t know.
I wish I could pretend
there were a paradigm
I could aim.
As the Toltecs
I try to accept
without taking offence.
As the lamas
I try to transform anger
into compassion
into strength.
As the day ends
I feel no one understands
the gravity, the pull that
takes me to a labyrinth
where the truth is the way out.
